When were you most touched by a ceremony?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 17, 2007:

Strange but ture. The Sunrise Blessing of the Harleys at Bald Knob. It was a combination of spiritual acknowledgement, pure mechanical power, and nature that had an overwhelming affect on me. More than my own wedding ceremony did actually.

Pick three words that describe you as you are right now.

ODD BLOG

Ok. Here it is 1:17 AM and what am I doing. I am frying up 42 pieces of fried chicken for a pot luck dinner at work tomorrow. So I am finaly going to admit it, I MUST BE CRAZY!!! What was I thinking agreeing to make fried chicken on a Tuesday night. I knew I would be tired from work, I would come home to a destroyed house, and there would be laundry piled to the gilt. I knew I had homework and test. I always have homework and test. Why am I frying chicken at 1 in the morning? Crazy me!!!! I hope these people at work enjoy it and I really hope I can get my butt motivated at 6 AM. Blagh. Moral of my story is that when you got to much on your plate you should fry some chicken. LOL. Really I am not complaining. I am thinking of a new way to better the world. Maybe we should all take moments like these and realize that we do to much. We are always on the go and we are causing major social dilemas with our fast food, fast car, fast communication life styles. Not only is this not a healthy state for ourselves it is affecting our families as well. There is the problem stated clearly and now to find  a solution. I don't mean a quick fix, either. Like how a couple of months ago I promised to take one hour a day out to just do nothing but nothing. That ended up lasting about 20 minutes. I don't quite know the solution to solving my problem quite yet but I will and then I will pass it on to others and we will all be better for it. I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Cause

Posted on Jun 10th, 2007 by Kat : Think what you will...Thank those that make you think. Kat
Kisssm
I wanted to just post a little information on my favorite cause. I am very dedicated to the education of people, especially young people, on the truths, misconception, and propper treatment of animals, specifically reptiles. So many people have fear of reptiles and teach this fear to their children with little or no educational basis. Millions of reptiles die each year due to mistreatment and lack of education or general bias and fear. I have spent the past ten years visiting schools, daycare centers, and other places giving lectures and demonstrating the wonders of the reptilian world. I have come to loathe the lack of intelligence and compassion in statements such as, "The only good snake is a dead snake." I teach that reptiles are a necessary part of the enviroment and have many benefits, that they are not dangerous if aproached and handled in the correct way, and that exotic animal bands could eventual lead to the extinction of many species of reptiles. Along with the reptiles I show exotic parrots and talk about wholesale breeding facilities, illegal importations, and the high rate of slaughter in other countries. Knowledge is truely power. I strive to give people the power to conquer a wide spread and common fear and eliminate the cruel treatment of many unique animals. I harbor the hope that people will learn to apply this way of thinking to other areas of thier life. It would be a changed world if people no longer instinctively feared and disliked what they did not understand or passed on this type of thinking to future generations.  I ask that anyone with interest in this subject feel free to contact me for more information, to discuss how they feel, or to share thier stories about their beloved birds and reptiles. If you are completely grossed out on this topic here is some light food for thought, Without reptiles the world would be over run with rodents! LOL.

My First Blog on Zaadz!

Posted on May 31st, 2007 by Kat : Think what you will...Thank those that make you think. Kat
As is my way, I begin to think upon something that intrigues, worries, or interest me and it fills my writing.  Today my thoughts are dark. I am filled with anxiety over many things. My current GPA being a 4.0 may suffer from my not so wonderful test scores in Business Math. Though, it will not drop below a 3.5, I am sure, that is not my desired score. My house is in shambles. The remodel on the kitchen is taking longer and much more money than I thought it would. The children are batty and are still suffering from Summer Break Syndrome. I am tired, sick, and worn like and old shoe that has been walked upon for  miles. The main theme of my thoughts today are swirling around a vortex of worry about my future. It is hard being 26 and carrying the work load I do. I know many others are doing it and have done so before me but that doesn't really ease my mind. There is one tiny comment in the eye of the vortex that has caused this mighty turbulant storm of my thoughts and emotions. I quote, "You are wasting time and money going to school. You should be focusing on better things." Now, who said these nasty words to me is not important. The only information on that person that pretains to this blog is that it is a person that I love, respect, and have the utmost desire to please.  In this case I know they are wrong. I am stubborn and I know I will prove them wrong. I know I am doing the right thing. The problem being, I now have a million, "What ifs" running through my mind.
